Community Investment Strategy Park Project Design & Construction Management Contract

In 2019, the Parks and Community Services Department advertised a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the professional services for the Anchor Parks Project (Tibbetts Valley Park, Veterans Memorial Park, and the Issaquah Creek Corridor) which sought to create new visions for these important community spaces. Five responses to the RFQ were received, and after undergoing an interview and vetting process, the firm Mithun, Inc. (a Seattle based company) was selected. After successfully executing a professional services agreement, work on the Anchor Park projects continued, public engagement was conducted, and then the COVID-19 pandemic hit in February 2020. During the pandemic work on these projects subsided. Storm and Surface Water Master Plan Contract Addendum No. 5

In 2019, the City Council approved the professional service agreement for the Storm and Surface Water Master Plan. The Plan will include a prioritized list of stormwater infrastructure, water quality and habitat improvements and programs to be implemented within a 20-year period to address impaired water quality, aquatic and riparian habitat degradation, increased flooding and aging infrastructure. The goal is to have the Plan adopted by the City Council in early Spring 2023.
