2025-26 Lodging Tax Advisory Committee Appointments

In 1998, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2192, establishing LTAC. Currently, hotels, motels, and bed-and- breakfast inns, and short-term rentals, such as Airbnb and VRBOs, collect the City's one percent share of the lodging tax to pay all or any part of the cost of tourism promotion, acquisition or operation of tourism-related facilities.

Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) Grant (Front St. S and Bush Street)

12th Ave NW and SR 900 Project Contract Extension

The City of Issaquah achieved LEED Gold Certification in May 2023. In order to improve energy efficiency scores, one of the recommendations from the certification was to transition the remaining PSE-owned streetlights to LED lightbulbs. City owned streetlights were previously transitioned to LED. PSE has capacity to complete transition of their streetlights in 2025.

East Lake Sammamish Pkwy SE Pavement Preservation Local Agency Agreement Supplement #2

At the Regular City Council Meeting on January 19, 2021 (AB 8097), the City Council authorized the Administration to apply for pavement preservation grants along East Lake Sammamish Parkway SE, SE 43rd Way, and NW Sammamish Road/SE 56th Street. The City was awarded National Highway System (NHS) Asset Management Program grant funds for two projects: (1) SE 43rd Way Pavement Preservation and (2) East Lake Sammamish Parkway SE Pavement Preservation. The City Council accepted the grants at the Regular Council Meeting on October 18, 2021 (AB 8097) and authorized the Mayor to enter into and execute a Local Agency Agreement with WSDOT for the design phase of the project.
