In compliance with the Washington Clean Air Act, Chap. 70A.15 RCW, local governments and major employers (as defined by RCW 70.A.15.4000) are required to develop and implement CTR plans to reduce air pollution, traffic congestion and fuel consumption by encouraging commuters to use sustainable modes of transportation, such as buses, carpools, vanpools bicycles, and walking, instead of single occupancy vehicles. Each local government with impacted major employers must prove through it's CTR program implementation, how it is supporting the major employers in implementation and reporting of annual efforts to the State.
In 2017, the City had four full-time custodial staff. When one of the employees informed the City of their planned retirement beginning January 2018, the decision was made to explore contracted janitorial services.
ARCH is a partnership of King County and east King County Cities who have joined together to assist with preserving and increasing the supply of housing for low– and moderate-income households in the region. There are 14 other member cities (mostly concentrated in east King County) and representation from King County. Each year, ARCH's partner jurisdictions contribute funds toward the ARCH Housing Trust Fund.
Issaquah is a member of A Regional Coalition for Housing (ARCH). ARCH is a collaborative undertaking made up of the fifteen East King County cities and King County working to preserve and increase the supply of housing for low and moderate income households in the region. Issaquah entered into an interlocal agreement with ARCH when it joined in 1994. The interlocalwas amended and adopted in 2010 as the Amended and Restated Agreement(Exhibit B).

Planning Policy Commission Positions - Extended Terms

The City is currently conducting the annual recruitment for vacant or expiring positions across boards and commissions. The Planning Policy Commission (PPC) in particular, has several seats that are included in this process.
The City of Issaquah’s Recreation Scholarship program is an important piece of the overall recreation program delivery system in place within Issaquah Parks and Community Services. The current scholarship program was adopted by City Council in 2014.
