As part of the development of the Mobility Master Plan, the Transportation Advisory Board expressed interest in participating in an Equity Training to help provide a foundation knowledge to support the Board’s work plans. As part of the City’s efforts to recognize racial bias and make changes to eliminate the disproportionate damage it is doing to community members of color. Racial equity training is being provided to help the Board and City staff identify negative impacts from the transportation system on people of color. This meeting will initiate a series of discussions the Board will have on racial equity and city policies that shape the Issaquah transportation system.
