Approximately two years ago the Issaquah Jail implemented the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)/Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) Program. MOUD is an approach to opioid use treatment that combines the use of FDA- approved drugs with counseling and behavioral therapies for people diagnosed with opioid use disorder (OUD).

In 2019, the City Council approved the professional services agreement with Otak, Inc. in the amount of $463,865 to complete the Storm and Surface Water Master Plan (Plan). The Plan is a Citywide plan to develop a prioritized list of stormwater infrastructure and habitat restoration improvements and programs to be implemented within a 20-year time frame to address impacts that have resulted in impaired surface water quality, aquatic and riparian habitat degradation, increased flooding and aging infrastructure. The goal is to complete the Plan and have it adopted by the end of 2022.
Under state law, courts can issue several types of civil protection orders to restrain individuals from engaging in harmful or threatening behavior. Civil protection orders are available for persons subjected to domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, harassment, and vulnerable adult abuse.
