The Central Park Pad #3 artificial turf fields were originally constructed in 2008. Over the last 13 years, the turf fields at Central Park Pad #3 have received significant use by soccer, lacrosse and football teams. It is customary that artificial turf field carpet and infill systems are replaced as part of routine maintenance every 8-15 years depending upon wear; much like the carpet in a home. The turf fields at Pad #3 are at the end of their lifecycle and in need of replacement, as a budgeted 2021 capital project.

This innovative new tariff provides customers with the opportunity to purchase power from renewable energy sources in the northwest over a 10, 15 or 20 year term.
The Administration recommends approval of the proposed resolution declaring the items as surplus and authorizing the Administration to dispose of them in accordance with Washington State law.

The City supports arts and culture programs and projects in and for the community through an annual arts granting program administered by the Arts Commission. Due to the impacts of COVID 19 on the local arts sector and the challenges of producing public programming, the annual granting process was delayed several months until January 2021 to give applicants more more time to assess the feasibility of delivering arts projects.
