3:53 kindly ask the commission to consider
3:56 recommending fundings to support these
3:58 free of charge programs
4:00 which have been making a positive impact
4:02 on the lives of children families and
4:05 child care providers in the city of isot

5:03 agenda packet are there any corrections
5:06 that we like to address from the
5:16 group hearing none the minutes are
5:20 approved you have a
5:22 motion some motion to approve motion I
5:26 move to approve the minutes from last

5:31 then do we have a
5:34 second do we have a second from the
5:37 group
5:40 The I
5:46 second all right uh the next thing we
5:49 have in our agenda uh is number four
5:51 agendum items 2025 2026 Human Services
5:55 Grants draft recommendations presented
5:58 by Anna Roberts
6:00 wonderful thank you Commissioners just
6:02 give me a moment to get this
6:15 sorry my noise because it's right
6:21 there
6:22 Perfect all right welcome commissioner
6:25 Hanah Roberts here human services
6:26 coordinator you all know me well um
6:28 we've been working
6:30 for the last few months on this draft
6:32 recommendations so I'm very excited to
6:34 present this evening our recommendations
6:37 and some updates that we have um but
6:40 before I get into it um the nitty-gritty
6:43 of it I have been just really thinking
6:45 and just processing this entire um time
6:49 with you all and this process and I just
6:52 want to thank you I know you've heard me
6:53 every time thank you for your time um I
6:56 do appreciate it but it really is
6:57 heartfelt um you are all volunteers you
7:00 have lived outside of this um you're
7:02 making some very difficult very big
7:04 decisions that can really impact our
7:06 community um so I want to commend you
7:08 all on the time the passion uh the
7:12 commitment to uh making such thoughtful
7:15 decisions and just show share my
7:18 appreciation for working with you all
7:20 it's been a pleasure so thank you thank
7:21 you um so just want to start off this
7:24 evening with a true gratitude so Mar hi
7:28 May Trish meline Huma lucrecia Manny
7:32 who's not here thank you
7:34 again thank
7:36 you okay now we'll go into it so tonight
7:42 um we have a few items we want to go
7:43 over we want to review and discuss the
7:46 um updated draft
7:48 recommendations um and then ultimately
7:50 want to make a final decision and a
7:52 formal
7:53 decision you've seen this one a few
7:55 times but just to recap we've had 95
7:58 applications that were reviewed in total
8:00 we had 60 organizations with over $2
8:03 million in
8:05 request the amount that we have
8:07 allocated it's at
8:10 62,6 18 that's with using a formula that
8:13 we used last cycle and we continue to
8:16 use this cycle as the average of 2025
8:19 and 2026
8:21 amounts and now what we are talking
8:23 about is onetime opioid settlement funds
8:27 that we'd like to um include in Human
8:29 Services Grants so I just want to use
8:31 this opportunity to just have a high
8:34 overview of what the opioid settlement
8:36 funds are um so if you're not familiar
8:39 with them they are um it's a from the US
8:42 to assist with the opioid recover
8:45 efforts um cities are allocated a
8:48 certain amount that needs to be used
8:50 towards U mental health and substance
8:52 use programming and services uh so for
8:55 the city of isqua for our one-time
8:58 funding for human Services Grants we
9:00 were allocated a total of 260,000 um
9:05 this does need to be spent specifically
9:07 towards mental health and substance use
9:10 fortunately we have a lot of programs
9:11 who applied in that and it is a priority
9:13 area for our funding for 2025 and
9:19 2026 so what that does in changing our
9:21 numbers is we go from our current 612
9:24 and 618 we take the 260 and divide it by
9:28 two per year so we have a total of
9:31 130,000 per year to add to the Baseline
9:34 amount so now we have um an increase of
9:37 1time funding for 2025 and
9:40 2026
9:44 74261 so we are very very grateful for
9:47 City Administration to approve this as
9:49 we all know the need is very much
9:52 there so with the additional funds we
9:56 ultimately took the first step of
9:58 looking at our Bay Behavior health
9:59 programs and allocated um
10:02 $130,000 to those um this was in our
10:06 physical and behavioral health category
10:09 as well as our cultural specific
10:10 category that did also have behavioral
10:12 health programs that would qualify under
10:14 this we secondly then we leverage the
10:17 remaining amount and we put it in our
10:19 other uh priority areas including our
10:22 cultural specific and language access
10:24 our housing Continuum and a community
10:26 resource program so each category
10:28 received additional funding
10:29 that was leveraged with the additional
10:31 onetime
10:33 funding so break it down a little bit
10:36 this is what it looks like per our
10:38 subgroup areas so for physical and
10:41 behavioral health we originally at 10
10:44 programs and we uh were at
10:47 123,000 we were then able to increase it
10:50 to 12 programs recommended with 147,000
10:55 total in this
10:58 category or cultureal specific and
11:00 language access Services we went from
11:02 again 10 programs to up to 12 so two
11:05 more programs and increased it from 172
11:12 202,000 in our housing Continuum this
11:15 this was was a big jump from 10 programs
11:17 to 13 programs 165 to 230 you can see
11:23 detailed in your agenda item um their
11:27 the allocations went towards rental
11:28 assistant increase as well as shelter
11:33 programming and then Under Our Community
11:35 Resources we kept it at 13,000 or sorry
11:38 13 programs um but we increased the
11:41 funding amount for some of the
11:45 programs here's kind of the visual of it
11:48 and um all of them together so we are
11:51 looking at therefore funding 49
11:54 programs uh with 74261
12:00 um you can find the
12:03 detailed um items of what is being
12:06 recommended you'll in that was emailed
12:08 to you as well as in our agenda packet
12:10 uh there is a column for the original
12:12 recommendations we all met in our
12:14 subgroups to talk about what we wanted
12:16 to do with the additional funds and you
12:19 can see in the additional funds um
12:21 column you can see things were
12:23 highlighted to help identify what were
12:25 the changes in many of the um addition
12:29 or the changes things went from um to
12:33 100% uh um funded for the request and
12:38 then additional programs as you can also
12:42 see so kind of just looking at our
12:45 timing and what next steps so we spent a
12:47 lot of time in June and in August diving
12:50 into the review process we're here
12:52 tonight to make a uh a formal
12:56 recommendation and have a formal vote
12:59 and then um end of August beginning of
13:01 September we will plan our meeting with
13:03 our mayor to U present the
13:05 recommendations she will then in
13:07 September go to our city council and
13:09 present it to as part of the larger City
13:11 budget and then in November is when
13:13 we're anticipated to then have the
13:15 approval for the City Council budget of
13:17 2025 and 2026 in which Human Services
13:21 Grants would be um in embedded
13:24 in so tonight um this is our time to
13:28 really just have our final discussion
13:30 there's questions comments concerns um
13:33 and um ultimately the goal will make a
13:35 formal action um to approve the draft
13:39 recommendations so that concludes my
13:43 portion I'm going to stop sharing
13:45 here Commissioners give you all the four
14:00 Hannah when you say we have the floor is
14:02 this when we would make make a motion
14:05 to approve the um the programs and
14:11 Awards as presented and or and this also
14:14 when there would be if there were still
14:15 any questions remaining that we would
14:18 raise those questions yeah motion and
14:20 then discussion a motion okay perfect
14:23 yeah so we so if somebody would like to
14:26 motion to approve it we'll have a
14:28 discussion and then we can have somebody
14:30 second it um if there's no changes made
14:35 and then if and if you want changes you
14:38 can make changes after but yeah motion
14:41 discussion and then you can make
14:42 amendments or you can approve
14:45 it I move this is
14:47 Trish this is Luccia a
14:52 second then now discussion you invite
14:54 discussion a motion for discussion the
14:57 motion was to approve to approve now
15:00 nexts as a for discussion to the group
15:02 as a
15:03 whole questions any thoughts comments
15:06 questions
15:12 around uh this is myy Edwards um I found
15:15 this year to be a little harder than
15:18 last time um we
15:22 um you know there's so much
15:25 need and uh and having the limited
15:28 resources
15:29 even though it doesn't seem like limited
15:31 resources it really kind of is compared
15:33 to what the need is and uh
15:37 particularly when we have this this
15:40 Heidi come in and talk to us with the
15:44 great presentation that she did uh
15:47 and um you know it made me want to just
15:52 go ahead and give her some money and uh
15:55 but yet I have you know uh we decided
15:58 not to and uh um you know there's only
16:02 so much we can give out and so this I I
16:05 guess I just wanted to say that this was
16:07 a a harder year than last time for
16:19 luia I just wanted to um say that I am
16:23 very grateful for the opportunity to
16:25 have the time between our last meeting
16:28 and this meeting
16:29 to actually go ahead and do the voting
16:32 because it gave me some time
16:34 for for any questions that I had to be
16:39 answered and and then I felt more
16:41 settled with the decisions that were
16:45 made um and now I also feel like if
16:48 someone were to ask
16:50 me how and why or what was the process
16:54 that I'm able to more thoroughly answer
16:57 that and so I I'm just grateful for the
17:00 the time in
17:01 between um the two sessions that we've
17:04 had around this topic and that's the
17:07 only thing I wanted to
17:09 share thanks you C thank you for
17:12 advocating for the extra time I think
17:14 everybody found it helpful as
17:23 well that's wanted to say no I was going
17:25 to say I I think it's been a a journey
17:28 of just learning from training and again
17:30 this is commissioner Hae uh
17:34 from uh Hannah you being intentional
17:37 with our meetings from sub groups and
17:40 kind of walking down um from the
17:43 scorecard to the Strategic plan to the
17:47 needs of of our community um so it it
17:51 made sense to even take a pause a little
17:53 bit I think commissioner Lua spoke to it
17:55 last month around being intentional with
17:57 some of the additional fun fing and
17:59 where we want to go to stretch those
18:01 needs so I was very I'd say very
18:03 grateful to take a pause and be
18:05 intentional where we want to put in
18:08 those dollars for um the needs of
18:18 SOA you have commissioner you have your
18:20 hand
18:25 up no sorry I think I forgot to un un
18:28 raise it or put it down whatever the
18:30 proper term
18:38 is okay so if there's no more discussion
18:41 then we can proceed with a
18:43 formal so do you have do we motion to
18:46 approve from the
18:48 group I saw
18:50 motion a
18:54 second I'll second
19:00 so you had already the motion so you're
19:02 now just like all in favor you can ask
19:04 for a yay yes and then is everyone in
19:08 favor with our
19:11 plan I yes I I
19:16 okay then you don't get to
19:23 vote I would vote Yes I don't know if I
19:26 can vote Yes but I would vote Yes
19:29 thank you
19:31 pron well thank you to the group um and
19:33 for your hard work it's not an easy task
19:36 to um make tough decisions when it comes
19:39 to our isqua neighbors and the need is
19:42 you know immensely and with the limited
19:45 funds we have to stretch those needs I
19:49 um huge praise to all you to take the
19:51 time and being intentional around
19:53 it congratulations Commissioners now you
19:56 formally made the recommendations to the
19:58 mayor and city
20:00 council official yeah all right thank
20:04 you thank you thank
20:06 you feels
20:08 good so the next thing we have on our
20:11 agenda here is
20:13 reports uh chair and commission
20:17 reports I don't have any reports uh that
20:20 I have to report out anybody from our
20:22 commissioner group that wants to speak
20:24 to our Human Services
20:32 all right then next thing we have is be
20:35 you uh youth report Preston is there
20:37 anything updates on
20:39 your okay so um currently we're still
20:43 the youth Advisory Board is still on its
20:44 summer break and our first meeting is
20:46 going to be starting in September and um
20:51 So currently I don't have any events
20:53 planned how it works with the youth
20:55 Advisory Board is every year we address
20:58 we we look at the issues happening with
21:00 the youth in isqua and then we choose
21:02 the events specific to what the board
21:04 wants to do so we currently are split
21:06 into two groups being teen action and
21:08 teen advocacy teen action works more on
21:11 um Community engagement events so
21:14 unfortunately you weren't able to do it
21:16 last year but our biggest event was is
21:18 the isai um youth Triathlon and that's
21:22 what we hold and then for teen advocacy
21:24 that's more similar to what we do here
21:26 at the Human Services Commission and do
21:29 events relating to um State of Mind CI
21:32 um youth Civic engagement and um other
21:36 child support things um just depending
21:39 on what the people want so we'll see in
21:41 September what events and then I'll get
21:42 back to you on what events we're
21:44 planning to do and then the only thing
21:47 we're planning to do over this summer is
21:48 that we're um currently sending out
21:50 emails to all the current and new
21:53 Commissioners regarding volunteering at
21:56 the isqua welcomes you event great
22:00 yeah I think that's it for
22:04 me thank you Preston uh is there any
22:07 reports from staff oh
22:10 yes I do have a couple um I would like
22:13 to share some very fun upcoming events
22:16 and then just some scheduling Logistics
22:18 I also want to take some time um so
22:21 first off I want to invite you all make
22:23 sure that you are aware of our isqua
22:25 culture Fest this is a part of our
22:27 welcoming week with this is our oh
22:29 you're going to have to help me fourth
22:31 fifth fifth oh we're already in our
22:33 fifth year sixth maybe no wow well we've
22:37 done this for a while um and each year
22:39 gets bigger and better um and it's a
22:42 collaboration with our different
22:43 Community Partners where we um will be
22:45 hosting it on Friday September 6th at
22:48 the community center of lawn from 5:30
22:50 to 7:30 this event really is intended um
22:54 as to be a part of the welcoming America
22:56 which is a a not
22:58 Nationwide um welcome for immigrants and
23:02 refugees um and we that is intended to
23:04 make them feel welcomed here and so
23:06 isqua is a part of that celebration
23:08 that's isqua specific um it's really
23:11 intended for um new residents old
23:14 residents um to learn more about our
23:17 community learn more about resources
23:19 that we have and ways to get involved we
23:21 have over 40 vendors in our resource
23:23 Fair very excited about that um we have
23:26 wonderful live performance
23:29 we have um a Chinese dragon dancing we
23:31 have a mariachi band West African um
23:34 culture dance and a few other items
23:37 we're very exciting um the cougar zoo is
23:39 bringing animals I'm very excited for
23:42 that one as well we have some henna um
23:45 uh free Henna art and then food trucks
23:47 for purchase so a lot of planning a lot
23:50 of excitement behind this one I'm just
23:52 please um consider coming and joining us
23:54 please invite family your friends um
23:58 your neighbors it's uh it's going to be
24:00 a good one so please put that in
24:01 calendars you'll be seeing more emails
24:04 and flyers and all that fun stuff coming
24:05 your way from me but want to put that
24:07 out there what was the date on that yeah
24:09 it's coming up September 6 it's a Friday
24:13 it's um starts at 5:30 I do recommend
24:15 getting there right at 5:30 we will be
24:18 having the Dragon Dance starting the
24:20 event so that should be a very fun one
24:22 um and it goes until 7:30 so where and
24:25 it's here at our community center right
24:27 hopefully with the weather
24:29 um it's good but it's going to be in the
24:30 lawn so every year I think we've been
24:31 able almost every year Do It Outdoors
24:34 which is ideal so and we'll have this
24:37 stage uh still up so we'll be doing it
24:39 all
24:40 there um also um another welcoming a
24:44 week event oh sorry Luccia didn't see
24:47 your hand there no worries um is there
24:51 any um way that we can contribute in
24:55 some way participate volunteer setup
24:59 question yeah thank you so much for that
25:02 offer um I do have I just started a
25:04 volunteer sign up list for helping us
25:07 there's different opportunities to help
25:08 um set up with
25:10 decorations um you can help during the
25:12 event be a welcomer um you could um help
25:16 with cleanup at the end so I can send
25:18 that out um for those who can sign up
25:20 for volunteering I do want to make you
25:22 aware that part of the volunteer process
25:24 does require a background check um and
25:26 then a a signed agreement or sign waiver
25:29 um so just I will put that in the email
25:31 but just keep that in mind um but yes
25:33 would love love help but mostly I would
25:35 love also just for you to join
25:37 us thank you ly I'll follow up with that
25:42 opportunity perfect anything else any
25:44 other questions on that one okay um
25:48 another one I want to invite us all to
25:50 is um the East Side welcoming week event
25:52 this is a joint Eastside event on
25:54 September 20th it's held by Eastside for
25:56 all and the is leading together in
25:59 communities where we will have um
26:02 Community Partners speak on behalf of
26:04 that um lunch is provided so it is a
26:07 good opportunity to get a free lunch
26:09 from 12: to 2 it is in bellev though um
26:11 but we are a part of that planning as
26:15 well another event that is not um quite
26:20 yet posted but want to put on all of
26:22 your radar is um Hispanic Heritage Month
26:25 so Hispanic Heritage Month is starting
26:27 SE uh September 15th through October
26:29 15th and we are working with the circle
26:32 who will be hosting a um Hispanic um
26:36 Family dance at the uh Pickering Barn
26:39 for Hispanic heritage uh celebration um
26:42 more more details to come on that um but
26:44 that's going to be September 29th at 6m
26:48 at the Pickering Barn um so that's
26:50 almost finalized and we'll be posted out
26:52 um shortly so would love participation
26:54 and for you all to join us in
26:57 that okay okay so those are our fun
26:59 events coming up uh this next month it's
27:01 going to be a very busy month but very
27:05 fun um any other questions that for our
27:09 Event Event
27:11 piece
27:12 okay so then some logistic questions for
27:16 you um so in the stff report um there is
27:20 a we are invited to be a part of a
27:22 special board and commission meeting for
27:24 the Strategic plan um so this is the
27:27 isqua so we're familiar with strategic
27:29 plans and Human Services but this is for
27:31 the um overall isqua strategic plan and
27:35 they um are have had a task force
27:38 working on um editing uh the current
27:41 version and what they are now at the
27:44 stage where they want to invite boards
27:45 and commission to provide feedback um
27:48 for you all as Human Services Commission
27:50 we would focus more so on the Human
27:52 Services portion that would pertain to
27:54 the work that we do um and would um
27:57 would like to um invite you all to
28:00 provide review and input on that um so
28:03 this would be a much larger meeting it's
28:05 going to be at the Pickering barn on
28:07 September 19th at 6:30 to
28:10 8:30 um this is a
28:12 Thursday um it's something that we can
28:15 we have basically a few options here so
28:19 our regular meeting is on Wednesday the
28:21 18th what we can do consider is
28:23 canceling the regular meeting and all
28:26 attend um the special board and
28:29 commission meeting and use that as our
28:31 monthly Commission meeting to provide
28:33 our expertise there or if you would like
28:36 we can um have just a handful of
28:38 Commissioners attend that to provide
28:40 feedback uh based off
28:42 availability um so that we can discuss
28:45 that that's an option but before we do I
28:48 also want to put it on your radar um
28:51 that in our October uh we also have a
28:54 special meeting it's a joint meeting
28:56 with our Equity board um um and we will
28:58 be having a uh presentation on our
29:02 Transportation uh planning for the light
29:04 rail that's supposed to be coming in the
29:07 far future and so they want are looking
29:09 for Equity board members and
29:11 Commissioners um feedback on that and
29:13 that's going to be our regular
29:15 commission meeting so October 16th just
29:18 want to put that also on your radar as
29:20 we start planning for the next couple of
29:22 months so a lot of information there um
29:25 any questions regarding those
29:30 meetings yeah Hannah can you um tell
29:35 me sorry
29:37 e Huma was that you I think it was yeah
29:41 um I wanted to know what um date and
29:44 time the meeting in September is going
29:46 to be that's not our regular meeting
29:49 that you were suggesting yeah of course
29:51 it's Thursday September 19th from 6:30
29:54 to 8:30 and it will be at the Pickering
29:56 bar
29:59 okay thank
30:03 you and the question for you
30:05 Commissioners is Hannah
30:12 yeah sorry is is that meeting at
30:15 Pickering Barn so I assume that that's
30:17 going to be iners
30:23 only yeah um I'm just reading the notes
30:27 from the email we received I do believe
30:30 that is um going to be an inperson
30:33 meeting
30:35 yeah
30:38 okay this is yeah and is it for all
30:42 boards and commissions or did you say
30:44 just equity and Human Services sorry for
30:47 the confusion let me clarify it's
30:48 actually for all boards and um
30:51 commissions so everyone is invited to
30:54 partake in this special meeting to
30:56 provide feedback on the isqua Strategic
30:59 plan and the current edits that have
31:01 been made so far and what I was saying
31:04 is that for us we wouldn't spend the
31:06 whole time looking at the entire
31:08 strategic plan edits we would be
31:10 focusing more on our um on the Human
31:13 Services Social Service piece of it um
31:16 that pertains to a lot of the work that
31:19 we have
31:20 done so a very large meeting then I mean
31:25 if if all boards and commissions are
31:27 going to be there yeah yes yes exactly
31:30 it's going to be a good good amount of
31:32 people but there'll be breakout SE
31:34 sections if that makes sense then my
31:36 next question is if we don't have a
31:39 regular September meeting for just Human
31:42 Services is that going to put us back on
31:45 anything I mean are we is there anything
31:48 pressing that we need to take care of in
31:49 September I appreciate the question
31:51 Trish um no there's not anything
31:55 currently pressing we accomplish really
31:56 one of our large and Main tasks um that
31:59 we spent a lot of time on so this is a
32:02 little bit of our time to we can refocus
32:05 and um look at what next year is going
32:07 to look like um and so by canceling a
32:10 regular meeting and uh providing
32:14 feedback um for um the Strategic plan
32:17 would be very um fitting for where we're
32:20 currently at so the short answer is no
32:23 there's nothing
32:26 pressing um I think it would be very
32:30 interesting um for I mean I would
32:33 encourage all of us to go to the
32:35 strategic planning
32:36 meeting but um you know that would just
32:40 be my recommendation but I mean if we
32:43 cancel I suppose if if it doesn't work
32:46 for people they don't have to go yeah
32:49 yeah yes exactly we don't have to
32:50 necessarily meet Corum for that kind of
32:53 meeting um but that would be cancelling
32:57 or Reg
32:58 and then and then posting that this is a
33:00 special meeting that we will have
33:03 Commissioners
33:05 at so I would I would be in favor of
33:08 have of attending the strategic planning
33:10 meeting for the city
33:14 yeah thanks
33:16 Trish this is lcia speaking I have a
33:21 question Monica and um Hannah and that
33:25 is will we receive substance
33:28 information prior to this meeting so
33:30 that if we cannot attend for whatever
33:33 reason that we can maybe submit some
33:36 written you know perspective that can be
33:40 presented is that an
33:42 option absolutely yes certainly uh Dale
33:47 uh the assistant to the city
33:48 administrator Dale Mar Kemp is leading
33:51 this effort and there will be um just
33:54 like for any other commission meetings
33:56 the packet will be published in advance
33:59 and uh they're always going to welcome
34:01 written feedback if somebody cannot
34:02 attend in person um and uh again we
34:05 don't have all the details from they
34:07 they might also have an online option we
34:09 don't know at this point but at least at
34:11 minimum written uh um and then in person
34:15 attendance they will absolutely welcome
34:17 it so awesome thank you for that
34:20 clarification I appreciate it yeah and
34:22 the one thing that I'll add to for next
34:24 steps for this meeting is that I will be
34:26 sending out a um five question RSVP
34:30 survey so that is part of the
34:32 requirement if you are planning to
34:34 attend um and that's going to be due by
34:37 September 9th so I'll follow up in an
34:39 email on that and then an agenda packet
34:41 and the materials will you'll have the
34:43 week prior like Monica was saying so um
34:46 that's how you'll be able to prepare and
34:49 then again you'll you'll I'll be there
34:51 at the meeting and so I'll be help
34:52 leading the efforts in in some of the
34:55 subgroups that we'll be having
35:00 would you need a is this commissioner
35:02 would you need a vote in terms of
35:04 skipping on the 18th to attend the 19th
35:08 from the the group just a general
35:10 consensus if everyone's okay doing that
35:13 um or if there's any other thoughts more
35:14 of a conversation so nothing formal on
35:17 end and I also want to say hi to Manny
35:19 so good to see you thanks for joining
35:24 that you're welcome sorry
35:27 good all good Manny good to see you I
35:29 have a question Hannah uh this is myy
35:32 Edwards um I'm wondering is there
35:34 anything substantive that we would be
35:36 missing by skipping that meeting and
35:39 going to the uh to the strategic
35:42 planning meeting no no we don't have
35:45 anything really specific on our agenda
35:47 packet for next for
35:50 September it would be good use of the
35:52 month's time I think it's a great
35:55 opportunity for for Commissioners for
35:57 you all to learn more about where isqua
36:00 is headed and what the vision is for not
36:02 just Human Services but at large and
36:04 then really see how does Human Services
36:06 fit into that in addition I think this
36:09 is also a really great opportunity for
36:10 you to impact our strategic plan and
36:12 provide a unique perspective as human
36:15 services Commissioners who understand
36:18 our world you know a little bit better
36:20 or a little bit different than somebody
36:22 um from different boards and I think
36:23 that perspective is very valued and
36:26 wanted in in this Arena so well I'm all
36:29 for uh going to the Strate strategic
36:31 planning meeting then on the 19th and
36:34 skipping the 18th okay great so I'm here
36:39 what I'm hearing is a motion to move our
36:41 meeting to join the Strategic plan
36:44 September 19 6:00 p.m. to
36:47 8:30 and louisv our September 18th is
36:50 there a second to that I
36:55 second that was L Gra speaki
36:58 thank you
37:00 Lum okay well then I will um provide
37:03 that posted online so it's public
37:05 information that our regular meeting is
37:07 cancelled and then we will have a
37:08 special meeting um to join the strategic
37:11 planning on September
37:13 19th um perfect I want to say to to the
37:16 Commissioners is there any other uh
37:18 thoughts around our October 16th uh you
37:21 know in conjunction with the equity
37:23 board on having uh the light R
37:26 presentation is there we can get
37:27 information beforehand great question
37:29 I'll talk to the presenter on that um to
37:32 be able to provide that information but
37:35 um are you talking about the specific
37:36 content correct yes um yeah I'm I he
37:40 probably already has that so we can we
37:42 will post it the week prior um but I
37:44 know that's usually just a weekend for
37:45 everyone until the meeting um so I can
37:48 see if I can get information prior to
37:51 that um yeah and also just so you know
37:54 for that one um more details to come but
37:57 that will be our senior center again our
37:59 regular meeting time uh but will be
38:01 considered a special meeting since we
38:03 it's a joint one with our Equity board
38:06 um and an opportunity to um to have a
38:10 presentation on
38:12 Transportation I remember um last year
38:14 attended this and it was very uh
38:16 beneficial in terms of the light R
38:18 progress the feedback from the community
38:21 does it reflect that and then hearing
38:22 from different folks around maybe gaps
38:25 uh when it comes to the light
38:28 infrastructure yeah and they've done a
38:30 lot of work since then so I think there
38:31 well there'll be some helpful updates
38:34 and great opportunities for you all to
38:35 provide your
38:38 perspectives and then just to kind of
38:40 lay out the rest of the year um so we'll
38:42 probably our November meetings not too
38:45 close to Thanksgiving so if you are good
38:48 that that'll be our time to kind of come
38:49 back and hone in on um some human uh
38:53 Human Services um updates uh program
38:55 updates as well as
38:58 Grant updates um and then I uh we will
39:02 most likely recess in December to follow
39:04 our Council schedule so that's kind of
39:07 what the next part of the U rest of the
39:09 year looks like um in our November
39:11 meeting we'll ALS most likely plan out
39:13 our work plan for
39:15 2025 um so I think it would be a very
39:18 productive meeting and then we'll take a
39:19 break for the holidays and come back for
39:22 a new
39:23 year you believe it it's August and
39:25 we're already talking about it next year
39:27 November I know it flies
39:33 by anything you want to add and uh we do
39:36 have number six other businesses or
39:38 announcements from the group uh people
39:43 online any updates from the group you'd
39:45 want to
39:50 present all right so we will see most of
39:54 you all at September 19th at the
39:56 Strategic plan
39:58 um so looking for to absolutely
40:02 yeah congratulations
40:04 Commissioners really well done all right
40:08 well we're going to be declaring the
40:09 meeting adjourn on the August 21st what
40:14 time is it 7:16
40:17 p.m. great thank you
40:20 all you
