Staff report:
Arts and culture create both social and economic value and do so in its broadest sense by driving activity and investment to and within an area. Nurturing a wide variety of arts and cultural activities and spaces helps actively engages the community and attracts visitors, practicing artists and creative businesses. Enhancing Incentivizing resident, business and visitor participation in local arts and creative pursuits helps build social capital and a healthy ecosystem of participants with a more vibrant community.
