okay okay we're going to do a little field trip but before we do that we are going to have a motion to approve the minutes for the last meeting do I have a motion for the May 10th meeting the second all those in favor say aye motion carried opposed motion carries right now we're going to do a little orientation training to review the members and to initiate our new members so welcome all three of you maybe we can do a little just introduction of who you are and why you want to be on the Commission oh you start you the first one can we remind you that you need to turn on your microphones when we're sitting here red lights have to be on all right perfect I'm Chris nice to meet everybody lived here in Issaquah about a year and a half now I applied to serve on the Planning Policy Commission because I wanted an opportunity to give back to my community and learn more about how the community works and how government works and I just thought I could lend my voice to improve the community and I'm excited to get to know all of you more and work with you more in this capacity thank you yeah my name is bill Reinert I've been here in town for close to nine years also joined the PBC to volunteer more be a little more involved in decisions in the community hi Jamie Rosen I've been in Issaquah specifically in Highlands for the last three years I've been in the area for about 20 years and wanted to join the Planning Policy commission to help get involved with a lot of the very important planning that's going on for our city and so much the strategic thinking that's going on and I'm really feel like my and experience hopefully can be helpful to the team and I'm looking forward to working with everyone so welcome to all of you there is one new member that isn't here tonight and he will join us in July and then everybody can meet him in July all the millions of people that are watching us on television right now so thank you for it's really funny you know you all said that you wanted to get involved in whatever I give you about two months and you're just gonna get sucked into everything so with that I'm going to turn this over to Trish and let us review what we're supposed to be doing I'm planning policy and a couple of wonderful housekeeping I wanted to introduce Kristin Lisa and who's our senior planner she makes up the other half of the dynamic long range team the other half being me we're still looking for that perfect person to help us with our projects but we will find that person soon I'm sure so I didn't want you all to wonder who is this wonderful woman at the table she is Kristin Lisa so two other things not quite as exciting is that but the arch housing tour is going on on Wednesday June 6th from 5 from 5 to 8 and the RSVP is to be in by May 30th I've handed out the information it would be awesome if any of you or all of you could go and learn about how the region is dealing with interesting and new designs and ideas and strategies for affordable housing so that's that's for you to think about and hopefully go the other piece that you get to be involved in is envisioning Gilman Boulevard there's a survey online right now and I'll pass these out so you can take the survey and also someone who I think will be Kristin will be sharing some of the information in June and then there's an open house July 11th at Pickering barn that will also talk about how we can all make our voices heard and how Gilman Boulevard might be redesigned reshaped re-envisioned for our future ok you introduce the last person over here in case our new in case anyone didn't know Keith Niven who is our the director of not only development services but also of Economic Development Department so he's the head of everything over in City Hall Northwest and he also is going to be the tour driver today so he can do just about anything and this is joy okay so now that joy is comfortable we're going to separate you all into two teams some with the rookies and we have to have rookies and veterans on a team so how how should we do that because we only have an hour for the training because we hope to be out on the tour by 7:30 ish so that will still have sunlight so we're probably going to keep doing training in June but we want to get as far as we clear tonight one two three four five yes to tease you yep yes about you to take Chris and Jamie I don't know how to do this joy okay perfect see Kristen makes a decision good job okay so this is the huge amount of training that we're going to do and it's really not all that much over and join us what we're gonna do never mind okay I love this what we're gonna do is we're gonna have some some question answers and and where's the demarcation of the is you two are on different teams it takes three four one two three four okay I was just making sure were there so there wasn't like a gray area I don't want them to cheat kidding okay I hope hopefully yeah you can phone a friend so this is what we hope to get through now and in June but we'll see how fast we can go but always you can stop us for questions because you won't use all of this every meeting but you might so just to remind you all the new members are not official until June 14th that'll be your first official meeting and we're also going to have elections that night probably after the park strategic plan gets presented so cuz Lindsey can't be there for a while we want as many people there to talk about elections as possible whoops June 14th so open public meetings act ok we're to start with this team over here Ron Troy and Chris list to actions you should never ever do just two actions you can either talk amongst yourselves or you can just shout wait so Jamie's on that team okay I thought that was the split okay no it's been a long day probably guess for you too okay I'm not sure how much time we should give him Kristen Kristen how much time should we give up your summary okay answer are you the counter are you the time counter ready okay do we have answer yeah okay you want one or two answers two to the one is meeting outside of normal meeting times are publicized meeting time as a group like more than you or I was just waving and it's just waiting okay and then the second item would be a similar thing but no group email discussions about topics accident okay excellent okay does everybody get that why we all need it right right there's been some things okay years and they get do they get a prize so team to our team be whoever you are ethics list to actions you should never ever ever do already be made up to what you're discussing coming into the meet after the discussion and the voting and everybody good one more yep dev to who you should always disclose any private interest that you may have in a tough are you gonna talk amongst yourselves joy is her own team there you go you can do that too just don't hit anybody so we're just a private you may have an axon that's in front of you any questions about that a lot of the ethics stuff is becoming sense okay harassment freshmen for a team a one name five of the eleven of the protected classes that have protection against harassment gender okay I'm sorry gender religion race gender identity sexual orientation I don't know age yeah yeah giving it away sexual orientation religion economics Oh how many'd you get it I don't know four okay I'm team two can add any age over forty yeah I don't think they got ethnicity ethnicity origin is what they are okay I was like I don't have that okay creed color citizenship status I think we got them all any questions about that awesome we just always need to be really aware of the open meetings act just always try to be aware of what you're talking about when you're with folks when you amongst yourselves and I'm gonna do some what ifs hey Trish P yes as far as open meetings act we want to bring up the other discussion that we had with females and that's what we're on right now okay yeah so here's a scenario not that this would ever happen because we're really smart about all this you get an email at each of you gets an email from an advocacy group that's wanting something done about some project that's coming to you and that you're gonna be hearing about can you reply back and say you go for it I totally agree with you hang in there or can you write back just at PPC I totally agree with this group I think they should just stand tall can you do either those for both of them right you can't do either of those because those are a violation of the Open Meetings Act what you can do if you have to but we would rather you not you can write back and say thank you and that's all you can say but we'd rather you not answer it at all we would rather you let the staff answer it or if you have questions about it you can write just directly to staff not to the whole group because that's a conversation you can write back to us and say what should we do is this is this valid or is this whatever questions you have but please don't email to the group okay are there questions on that because it's so easy when you read something to just go yeah or what do you think you know I mean so just be really aware that we were wearing your PPC hat you have to be really careful about email don't hit the replied yes correct you do not do that correct correct correct okay here's a good one you're also on a board like mountains to Sound Greenway what is the proper way for you to talk about issues as a as a PPC member and as a board of a member of another place like would you say as a PPC member I represent PPC's opinion when I say this or would you say I'm a PPC member and although I don't speak for PPC my own opinion is this individual opinion right you can say that you're a member of PPC but you don't ever represent them all by yourself unless you're stating that we voted on a recommendation and the vote was this you can say that in a factual way but you can't say I was talking to my PPC buds and we think this you my with disclosing PPC first before you give your like we have one of our favorite public folks is Mel Morgan and he's on development Commission and he comes up and he'll say I'm on the development Commission but I'm speaking as a private citizen so it keeps them separate that he's not speaking for DC he's speaking for and and it's just really important to keep that clear because in the past we've had folks on PPC that say like to an editorial to the paper or to an email to the paper that they're representing PPC and so we've gotten in a bit of a so we just want to be sure that that that that and that was that was a really good question you ask because I don't think we talked about that enough I know right they were they not representing our just presenting okay that's right so it's just different we're an advisory board right whereas they're elected and so they're put on those boards to represent right the city right okay right good question though good differentiation okay cool the next one would be four of you inadvertently end up at concerts on the green and you start chatting is that a bad thing it's not unless you start talking about whoa did you see the pack up for next week what do you think about XY and Z so certainly you can all meet up places inadvertently but what about the next one you all meet for coffee to talk about a complicated topic yeah I can't do that I can't do that unless you advertise it in the paper and you know we're just not gonna but just just be careful about that and this is about the email again what if one of you goes to Portland and sees a really cool affordable housing thing that they do or cool something can you email a link to everybody and say wow this is a really cool thing I attended it would be better if you because we love that you're excited about that would be better if you send it to us the staff and then the staff sends it just so there's no like reply like well it is really cool when the discussion starts so we love that you're interested but just be really careful so here's a tricky one last year we had to go behind closed doors for 15 minutes what do you think it could have been what would allow us to go back there and close the door not going to close ourselves it was a violation we were told by the attorney of a violation of an Open Meetings Act and so I had to let everybody know of what happened and how not to do it again so it was just one of those that I didn't we didn't want to do that in public on TV but we it was one of those gentle reminders that remember we talked about this so it's the only reason that we would all go back in the room back there okay so back to the quiz which team did we end with so you guys okay PPC's main reason for existence PPC serves as a and I gave you some hints here with the red letters they start with a P and a and a B ha nice and the mayor and provides guidance and direction guys are hot through continued for its akua's age your growth guys through continued review and improvement to the operates a plan yes and related and directions really close I think development regulations bonus points if you can name one of the yellow or one of the with the red the yellow asterisks or the red one of the one of the comprehensive plans or pieces the central issyk-kul plan yeah say it confidently Lindsay like that because we just my seven-year-old answer how about a red one can you name it red one the red aster what's the last word in that land use I'm gonna say development regs I should look at my development man did Oh documents sorry I get penalized land use documents is it what Oh cuz are you not on so he can't hear you okay then that's not always a bad thing right the Issaquah Municipal Code which we call 18 and central Issaquah standards would be the other the main ones okay did they get a prize or we just leave in the candy in between them okay okay so these are the answers to that really hard slide so here's another really hard one for you guys a lot of folks get this group confused with the Development Commission but now that we don't have any crossover members we're gonna have to keep them straight all by ourselves so the Development Commission is different than we are and they review land-use actions you know like they actually like like Platts yeah you're like construction kinds of things that are going to turn into construction so described in Luc what would that be yep and it's Christmas good and they also serve as a blank to the City Council on land-use actions what do they serve as yes OCN even giving any letters for that can you name an action that they would have advised City Council on no a project what's a project nice I think they do Atlas tonight how is peanut bonus how is DC different than PPC give them some chocolate excellent no I'm just kidding why how are you guys different okay right that's what I was looking for very good very good she's studied for this girl yes so the first three gateway gateway senior Atlas and Taco Time DC made the recommend that they actually made the final decision on the ones they were advisory to council would be like the schools they were master site plans or like Bergsma they just looked at Bergsma for a recommendation so very very good you guys are doing good GMA is anyone heard of growth Management Act yay so you guys bonus what year was it enacted how many people were here in 1990 was here in 1900 okay Jonas here okay good to know okay what does it provide a framework for what kind of coordination nice nice and requires what to adopt or who to adopt countywide planning policies there's a clue in the question and the county the county has to adopt countywide policies but then we get to weigh in on them and ratify them yep and what does it require the establishment of an enhance is the big red arrow pointing to the big red line yes and why do we care about that as Issaquah can you see us in the boundary of all the cities we have the most I would say we have the most of our boundary on the urban line so we're very earthen and then there's yes and so we have we all have always felt we have more of a yes that's a good word to hold the line to not let the line go into the earth through the rural areas so I wanted to be sure we mentioned that so here are the answers you guys are way too smart tonight which is really good growth Management Act goals there are 14 named five shout them out because you guys are so good you don't even need to be in - yeah it's the first one yeah yeah oh well yeah Environmental Protection is that what you're going for okay don't run with scissors yes right right so they drew a line right well there's a couple that deal with with right others Environment Protection open space and recreation those work yep yep yes concentration of urban growth that's number two good right and housing yeah affordable housing yeah yeah yes yes about this public facilities they want to be sure that this is why it was great to not be on camera because we just have property rights is one of them that might be just right in the middle of all of it but these are all the reasons that all the pieces that the state was trying to achieve in 1990 these are all the high hopes that they had of of why the state needed some growth management because people were coming and we weren't really ready so well done you all and if we're going too fast for the new folks you can certainly stop us and ask us what we're talking about or later you can ask us you can always ask us but obviously that everybody brought their egg game tonight so very good this is another picture of Issaquah and the urban growth boundary and you can see to the west to the south and to the east is all rural lands you can see also they're very green and wonderful and open most of them so the city is very proud of that we only have that kind of wood one potential annexation area left to the west we we lost half of it went went rural which was good but we're still negotiating the other half with King County No okay here we go growth targets one of our favorite thoughts the state mandated growth targets are to establish a blank as to how many new blank blank and blank must be accommodated any thoughts on those words good yes baseline jobs jobs yeah yes excellent bonus who knows what the dates are for what the housing for what this housing target is so you got your second one right when we started this certain count it's a long time ago seems like it housing targets were given to us in 2006 he has a seven in it though that's good how about jobs how many jobs were we supposed to take a combat accommodate I know whoops as soon as I said it I went wrong to accommodate and it doesn't mean we have to have them but our zoning has to accommodate the housing units and the jobs growth through the zoning the city doesn't have to guarantee or we don't have to provide them ourselves we just have to have zoning that accommodates it so that's kind of a fine-tuning of it any idea of jobs you forgot what the numbers 20,000 these jobs okay any questions about our growth targets you have data on where we're at yes we're gonna do that in Shanghai start the cut plan - ok annexations are we getting close to 7:30 cuz stop me if we're going over at 7:30 okay my favorite 18 annexation since 1990 anybody here in 1990 who all was here in 1990 just Joan Joan we're awesome King County Island yeah we said South Dakota Providence point Frank yeah the Highlands which was known as blue and lead or grand Ridge okay and it's on the other side yeah yeah there's five any others turn them out there the state park oh that's one of my favorites Lake State Park was very North hyssop ah yes this is just since 1990 all the places that are in color have and this is in your comprehensive plan which is really exciting because I know you're gonna want to look this up after you go home tonight these are all of the things that we've annexed just since 1990 just since this growth management act started you can see we've been very busy and this one blows my head open this is all of our annexation history this is also in the comprehensive plan you can see our original Township is just a little itty bitty um in Old Town of course which is why we we should call it maybe original town that would be another thing but just so you know we've been a very busy community since the beginning of time okay who are these groups and why do we care I do love this slide name I think we were getting tired by here no we weren't we love these folks name an activity where it's acual would work with these agencies King County Metro transportation yeah yeah anything else I mean that's a big one but we also work on annexations with them and getting rid of potential annexation air squeak work on that too how about the Puget Sound Regional Council either that with the Planning Council there the Planning Board what would we do with them earth management yeah Richard Briana we're doing our growth management targets mm-hmm they're the ones that told us that we could be a regional growth Center so we were money yes we do ask them we work with them to get yes that's a better way to say it but we do ask them for good good so our regional course we have central Issaquah you know our central supplies mm-hmm okay so we have central Issaquah and then starting at southeast 56 northeast 56 right by Costco and going about over to the Creek Pickering down south of i90 to maple and Newport and then up Newport and then over - do you know where the rally properties are just west of us are 900 oh there we go that's our that is our there you know growth center right there and what that means is once we became a regional growth center we had to set target specific to that area but we also become eligible for funds for import infrastructure that we would not typically be eligible for yep and a train station which brings us to well next bullet some transit what do we do it down yes and st3 which will bring us the rail station in 2041 well time that'll be the slide yes yes yes there's so much to do how could we leave won't you you're gonna be there for the ribbon-cutting right no a regional coalition for housing arch what do you think we do with them yes where's the Gilman thing Oh sound cities Association what may be do with them planning business right there 37 cities and that we do advocacy at a state level with them with between economic things and Community Development and we just sort of also together I'm sorry we get together and work together on all sorts of things and the joint recommendation committee what do we do with them it's for housing its to get more housing funds excellent and there are all the answers how are we doing anybody lost yet we're just getting started okay huh the comprehensive plan gotta love this what is this but is the comprehensive plan okay I'll ask it again what does it do it establishes overarching blank blank and blank for the way the city will blank grow okay we'll start from the egg sorry goals actions and goals what do we just do such a vision was that aha moment I'm gonna say goals well okay and policies yeah policies are in there there are nine elements in the plan name five I was in yes good one ability no economic viability yes - Troyes - four - yes three excellent holding Cydia a cent housing yeah Oh choice of housing but yes jobs why is my capital facility so I'll give you credit for that something fun yes yes guys are good now land use code very different than the comp plan very different yet connected blank see the blanks above adopted in the Comprehensive Plan so what would it do for the Comprehensive Plan how do they how do they work together it's how we implement the competence yes exactly it's it's the teeth for to get the policies and the goals and the vision very good there are nineteen this is a kind of a funny one there are 19 chapters in the land-use code we're really reaching for this can you name five chapters what would be things that we would look at in the land-use code that our code kinds of things you just worked on several of them that has initials like design standard or oh well our architectural what's the yeah yeah yeah and what's something you guys just did with initials so there's a whole thing on standards how high how tall how what else might be in there parking parking yes I need yes I'm good I don't know how to they're not it's very good for charades the language like the sidewalks and mobility or something right right that would work but anything you would look on for site development so it would be anything to do with permeable surfaces no stop right there's a there's an environmental chance right right and then you guys are good so these are all versions the chapters of the land use code are on one side and the so you can see how they would go together generally how the land use code pieces implement the pieces of the comp plan and this is an example we're encouraging the encouraging you know we use those kind of words in the plan we encourage we create we facilitate we all those kind of words and then the land use code should say shall you do this you do that you've shelter this you may not do that you cannot you know so it's very black-and-white hopefully the code because that's where our teeth are and yet the comp plane is more aspirational and guiding and visionary so that's the difference and it's sometimes really hard to keep them separate because sometimes we'd like with the vision we just sort of blended them and had a lot of the vision in it but we also had some teeth in it as well so that's we're hoping that works really well to blend them like that any questions on this can you talk about PPC's relationship and how we interact with the comprehensive plan versus the land use code yes and you do both in the beginning of the year speaking of the comprehensive plan first we're only allowed to by state law we're only allowed to amend the comprehensive plan once a year so in January we bring a list of amendments to you all we call that the docket it's really just a list but it has a fancy name and that's where we decide all of the pieces and parts we want to amend that year and that goes through council and they bless it and so if somebody comes in June and wants a different amendment or another amendment we can't put it on the docket till the next year and that's according to the state that keeps everyone looking at all the amendments all at once comprehensively and not just one at a time and not looking at them all together so that's the comp plan and you all are totally in charge of recommendations and looking at the comp plan amendments when code amendments come through we're allowed to amend the code whenever and however we want as often as we want time permitting staff permitting and so when those come to you like with accessory dwelling units that you just saw they either come to us through the council has issues with something and they ask the mayor to put it on our work plan or we find through applicants that we work with that there's issues in the code that we need to deal with it's maybe not clear and off or it maybe it can it's conflicting with something else then we would bring those to you and you would recommend to the council the changes that you've decided on and that goes through the council and then we keep you up to date on what councils done with your recommendations and that's usually on the last sheet in your packet although this week's it's in the middle but we try to keep you apprised of how council is working through your items is that Lindsay what you were getting at how does the comprehensive plan tie in or relate to the vision the vision is in the comprehensive plan and the central Issaquah plan is a sub area of the big comprehensive plan and also the old town sub area plan is our two sub area plans that we have in the city the old town was first and we're updating that one now and the reason we were hoping that the new folks could go on the tour is that the public hearing is in June and we didn't want you all to come in cold to the public hearing where we're hoping if you're able that you'd make a recommendation to council but we didn't want your first meeting to be having to make a recommendation on something that you're just seeing something and if we're not ready in June then we don't have to be ready but we just thought we would we would try to get everybody ready Patricia it would be really nice if you could to link to the comprehensive plan and the land use code tutor members so that they have that as a full reference point sure yes yeah so you'll have all the answers as long as you don't share it with Jane Jason who will be coming in July and we will make sure that he takes this watch this video that's true we may have to think of new questions we're gonna make him do it by himself on camera next meeting good like jeopardy have an answer all encodes okay excellent you guys have good good questions oh I think I already set all this stuff okay there have been oh this is a good one there have been for planning implementation activities are evolving around Old Town do you guys remember what they have been including the one that you're in the middle of now can you name another one there's the streetscape plan yeah yep and there was also the stormwater that was going on for a while and then before that what did we call the Andrea's group that started started the ball rolling in Sunset yes and we sent out this cute little postcard to everybody and those were the four things that we're going on we try to keep people involved this is Old Town the green blob and where it fits into the city and this is where the tour is going to be tonight and the standards which is not in the new standards but this isn't the existing standards and then how it relates to the actually specific design standards so again there's aspirational with the plan and then more black and white teeth kinds of things in the code in the design standards so that's how they're different and hopefully I'm not going to say hopefully we will be working on amendments to these next year based on what the REC nations have been in the plan so far any questions on that hey look we're done with this as of Monday night the city is officially or unofficially is it official done with the moratorium they adapted the vision I will send you the link of the new visions although that they don't take effect until August because because we have some more things to do it'll be okay but we adopted the visions and the ad use and storage and storage units but not on hotels so those were the big three that PPC worked on that went to Council in council took action so that was pretty exciting so I named a few of the six items what are three items that are not the vision that you all worked on every blasted one of them ding yes what kind of parking structure yes what else did you guys work on for the moratorium for design or area regime no density went to words to words how many syllables yeah it was a tricky one what else did you guys work on remember affordable housing that one these were the six and you worked on and as Keith's email said your fingerprints were all over all of these not just the vision thank you hopefully we won't have anything quite that intense but we might know we're ready central is taqwa' if you all just worked on this for a long long time the boundaries now are the same as on this picture so I'm just going to click right through it again the plan has those chapters or elements or whatever we call them and then the standards which have the teeth have 17 now they have 18 because architecture old design standards are chapter 18 of the standards so we'll be delving into those kind of cleaning them up now that we have all new pieces in there we kind of have to make sure they all really fit really well so those are the two different pieces for that and it so send a link to the sims first yeah I see yes four I'm going to just say everything and this because this is all on it this is one of the slides and this is again how there's general in the plan aspirational but the green necklace which is another great piece you all worked on and then how the standards talked about the green necklace and parks and that kind of thing and how they're connected but they're different okay no that's coming to great question that's coming to you for a public hearing on June I think is it 14th the next meeting me now 28 it's the first meeting of that it's the same night that we do elections so that will be a great night but that's the big big strategic plan this is from the central plan this was one of the visions of the central plant can you tell where it is no can you tell the building in the foreground Oh mm-hmm head top on it no yes yes that's the future yes and then this one this was what we thought another corner should look like anyone recognize it and the third one you can still see the forested hillsides and corner there in the middle nice you guys are wait we're gonna have to be harder next time a typical year we talked about this a little bit with a jacket the list it comes out you review on you we do interviews for new rock stars to join our group in April and May and then we look at the Transportation Improvement Program which is all the list of transportation projects that we hope to achieve in the next six years then we review all the complan and code amendments through June through August and then we make all our recommendations to the council and then once we've got that going to Council then we start back into code amendments that's a piece of cake with all over again and then we throw a moratorium into everything and yes just to make it super interesting any questions about the typical year right and the other piece while we're talking about meetings is we hope that all the alternate members will always come to all the meetings you are always welcome we all during a regular typical meeting we all sit up in the front you all get to talk you all get to talk and discuss and all those things the only thing alternates cannot do if there's enough if there's a quorum and then if there's seven members is you can't actually make a motion or vote but we will note your comments in the minutes so that that folks know sort of how that what everybody's thinking and so we want you to know that you're super important like all the other like everyone else but there's just that little tricky thing about voting but wanted to to put that out there this is a page a typical page of the docket I will also send around the docket and hopefully no one will fall over but this is sort of what the docket looks like it has the items who's supposed to work on it why we do it is it a new one is it an old one that we do every year that kind of thing this is this is I think that was taken out I think we're taking it out aren't we yeah we're revising it to take the moment we've been we're supposed to propose to take that out yeah typical meeting yeah their typical aren't they you do the minutes like you did tonight then we present a topic we hear public comment from all the people here then we discuss the topic some more one of the members regular members makes a motion you talk about the motion there might be second you know so it goes along Robert's Rules of Order the in their packet there's the whole bylaws that's very technical about what we do what kind of a laid-back group work not as technical as that made us sound but we're very organized but the really cool thing is if you're not here you can actually see all the fun that we've had by looking at the YouTube channel on the city website which is usually up and running the next morning if not that night wes is super great at getting it up right away if you were like you know babysitting or something you can't be here you can usually click on that night and it's it's up and running and if you are not here we would expect that to come to the next meeting that you would have watched all the meetings that you didn't go to and made sure that you were up to speed on the information in the packet so that everybody voting and discussing has all the same information that's really important the mayor's stressed that when we talked to her about the bylaws that that's just a given that everybody should be up to speed on everything please let us know if you're not going to be here when we send out that notice right away it's usually Thursdays or Fridays if we're running late if you could let us know as soon as you can that you be there and you're not going to be here that helps us understand if we have a quorum or not so that we can vote if it's a public hearing okay that's just super helpful to us Trish is it still true we have you and Dominique know it's the best that way in case she's gone her I'm gone at least one of us will know and I had and I wanted one Jason's here I'll give my cell phone too because sometimes I leave you know early to get here and then if you've emailed me that you're not going to be here I wouldn't get it but I'll give you cell phone only to tell me if you're not going to be ok don't be texting me on the weekends with no any questions about meetings voting anything like that these are the how do I Lindsey was saying that the comp plan and the codes they're all on the website and I can send you some information on how to get there the major projects map and list if you're driving by and you see a construction site or you see a big sign you can go on our city map and you can see exactly what's going on and what documents have come in for that site and which ones are new which documents are new or not there's a place on the website you can subscribe subscribe to updates so they have like the community events concerts on the green the farmers market or planning issues road closures I mean there's all sorts of things there's a whole list of things that you can subscribe for updates on the website it's really pretty great sometimes I hear more of my news through the website update than I do from just walking around the office and again if you want to watch a PPC member PPC meeting again or council meeting or council committee meeting they're all on the YouTube channel and they're sometimes they're fun to watch again sometimes they might be a little painful to watch again but it's still the right thing is you can watch them at 2 times speed I do that all the time it shortens a three hour meeting to an hour and a half oh I see there you have some advice from my matter I wouldn't have thought that but that's really good with the new all the new moratorium pieces that we've done we're hoping to do a sample project to development commission to have a sample site plan and say this is how the new parking vertical makes use all the pieces fit into a new site plan and we're I'm hoping that we invite you all to be in the audience so that you can see how all your good work turned into an actual project but that's coming soon we don't know have we don't have a date for that yet questions comments did we really get done in an hour so what I can't see the fun it's only seven twenty five nice job anything else - any questions is there any difference to our we had a discussion about like excused absence recording that was going to be changing as far as like and then in the bylaws I believe it mentioned five days well there are five days is for regular like ones that you know of right now like I have to go out of town on business so I'm going to be gone but if like something awful happens which we hope nothing ever awful but all of a sudden like you're stuck at an airport and you can't what ever happened as long as you notify us right away that's still excused but if you just don't show am i yeah then when we're doing it the way the council does it that it's unexcused and I think if there's three that the mayor can decide to but hopefully we would never get to that but the thing I would say is that almost all of our meetings are here but sometimes they're in other places now being somebody who shows up here sometimes like where is everybody right and we try to we try to write because I don't I don't read the thing to cover right and I tried no just the front page versus the location I always just once here I'm trying to see where there's a schedule in your packet it's usually at the end and now that it's not at the end I can't find it yeah it looks like this one and it's always completely accurate well I'll say it's accurate when I printed it but often things change and meeting topics move around but at least there's a guesstimate of what we're talking about on any given night and so sometimes you'll already know that while in October I'm not going to be here I'm going to be in Pasadena and then just let us know so that we can say well someone's in Pasadena so we might not have a quorum that night if everybody is in Pasadena that night but it's just sort of a way that for you to orient your schedules to know that things are going on any other questions do you want to make the announcement about the tour to make sure that we understand all the things about Old Town that we are going to be discussing in the future and so we will be leaving here shortly and not coming back here to city to council chamber so if anybody wants to follow us and we tour along or to meet up with us at any time the map of our or is online in the pack access it there or we have paper copies source here for our viewing oh we do have a viewing audience okay and that's right and so everybody take your stuff because we'll all be locked up close use this is a meeting and close this meeting or we just going to get up and leave I think because it's the schedule says we adjourn in the parking lot after but I think would be better to adjourn I think we should adjourn now this part this part of the meeting we will be right yeah so it's still a commercial mission meeting but there it won't be recorded okay thank you for saying that I would if I got in trouble you
